Legions started in May '09 under the name Don Logan as a result of ex members from Shaping The End, No Downfall and Cosen grouping together through a love of hardcore and a hatred of the same old stuff the Milton Keynes music scene has to offer. Taking major influences from bands overseas such as Rise and Fall, Shipwreck AD, Knuckledust, Wisdon In Chains and Integrity and mixing in big uk grooves,Legions set to take their sound to every venue possible and spread the word that Hardcore is not just a bullshit fashion or or cliche genre. Forget Beatdowns, Forget Image, Forget Haircuts. We are Legions. |
HARD TARGET - New, heavy shit outta Milton Keynes, UK, bringin' a new flavour to the Rucktion familia! KEEPER OF THE RIFLE Brand new MK band playing they're debut gig, the band formed out of a love for the biggest of riffs you can possibly extract from a guitar & amp, the band is made up from members of Seethe, Atrocity Exhibit & Stonebreaker. In this current economical climate for bands to survive comes an endless line of hoops to jump through, carrots to chase and compromise, Keeper of the Rifle formed with the intention of playing music that pleased themselves and couldn't care less if it pleases no other. The bands sound mixes up the classic rock of Sabbath, the Alt sounds of Melvins, Isis,Cult Of Luna and the modern progressive metal of Mastodon, Kylesa & Torche
"Legions seem to be one of those bands that somehow have something that just makes them stand out, this is their fourth gig and there’s plenty of people moshing up-front already and have made a bit of a name for themselves in the local hardcore circle. It could be their basic approach to the sound that does it, there’s no emphasis on anything overly technical in their set at all, which leaves a stripped back sound to be played out with a fair amount of energy about it, especially from their guitarist who seems constantly on edge. Both those elements together seem to nail down a lot of support with both sides of the stage busting out some moves, something tells me Legions are on a roll."
