Peter Smith, aged 28, from Shearmans, Fullers Slade, was charged with possession of a Class B drug. Said Ali, aged 33 from Baynham Mead, Kents Hill, was charged with possession of a Class B drug. David Benson, aged 19, from Akerlea Close, Netherfield, was charged with possession of a Class B drug. Louis Duffyl, aged 60 from Snowberry Close, Stacey Bushes, was charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis. Clayton Johannes, aged 20, from Talland Avenue, Fishermead, was charged with possession of a Class B drug.
In addition to the charges, police seized in excess of £10,000, over 300 cannabis plants, quantities of amphetamine, ecstasy Pills, MDMA and cocaine.
Det Insp Simon Roberts, said: “The week of enforcement action was very much business as usual for the specialist teams we have here. However, the number of warrants was increased to send out a strong message to drug dealers that if they continue to deal drugs, they will be getting a visit from us very soon.
“The week was a great success because we were able to stop a large amount of illegal drugs being sold on the streets of Milton Keynes. Any warrant where we find quantities of drugs and disrupt the supply chain is without doubt a success.”
Police also arrested three people on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs as part of a licensing operation around pubs, clubs and bars in Milton Keynes on Friday (12/6) night.
Licensing officers, police officers and a specially trained drugs dog visited eleven venues around the city in search of illegal substances. As well as the three arrests they issues two street cautions for cannabis possession and carried out 32 searches.
The three people arrested are currently on police bail waiting for test results on the substances found in their possession.
Elizabeth Arnold, Licensing Officer for Thames Valley Police said: “We do these operations on a regular basis and with the full support and backing of the venues. We get a great deal of positive feedback from both the public and the staff at the places we visit as it offers reassurance to them that they are socialising and working in a safe place.”
