Animaineax's from Milton Keynes WIN the BBC Three's 'Move Like Michael Jackson' competition. |
|
Cruising through to the final Animaineax's performed an upbeat MJ tribute dance routine to the slow Leona Lewis song 'bleeding love' which the judges described as 'unbelievable' (Jermaine Jackson) 'a moving performance' (Jamelia) and 'mash-up' (Mark Summers) which is a good thing I believe. There exciting performance to this slow song told a story which resulted in them beating the other finalists Plague. Going to the public vote Animaineaxs triumphed and help again put Milton Keynes back in the public’s eye. Not since Nemesis who performed on the ITV's 'Britain Got Talent' has Milton Keynes been credited with providing fresh young talent to the World, being a Milton Keynes resident I can only hope this continues. 'Move like Michael Jackson' was a hunt to find Britain's best MJ-inspired dance act and the chance to perform at the official 2010 Michael Jackson tribute in front of...THE WORLD! 'Move like Michael Jackson' started on Monday 11 December on BBC Three with six programmes. 16 finalists went head-to-head in a dance-off which was judged by Jermaine Jackson, Jamelia and Mark Summers. This is quite cool... An exclusive routine was created for the show and viewers of the official website by Michael Jackson's choreographer Lavelle Smith Jr. It includes five of the King of Pop's most iconic dance moves set to a remix of Beat It. Moves include The Moonwalk, Toe Pop, Crotch Grab, Lean and Leg Kick. Go to: http://www.bbc.co.uk/movelikemichaeljackson/themoves/index.shtml if you feel like moving like Michael Jackson. About Animaineax (Below is some information I’ve found about Animaineax, i can only hope it is true)... ANIMAINEAX'S has the most important thing a crew needs and that's LOVE!!!! 6 brothers who only discovered each other last year in 2008! These crazy bunch of pinoys were in different established crews. Jeffrey who was in Boy Blue and Zoonation. A’Jai who was in Boy Blue and Avant Garde. Marlon and Albert who were in Anarchy Cartel. Ryan who was in Dialight. And Swarf who was in Dance2xs, Bird Gang, Pink Mafia, Dialight, Flo’Ography and Zoonation. In early 2008, Jeff and Swarf thought to recruit a bunch of trendy Filipinos 2 perform at Funk Physics Launch Party 2008. There were originally 5 of these animated, colourful, stylistic, blissful, prettyful people who are known as the main animators in hip hop....... they are called the Animaineax's! The Group is made up of six lads which are:
A’Jai Felicisimo - A 2 da J Ryan Ramirez - Rynamo Marlon Marqueses - London Mark Calape - Swarf Then in mid 2008, we recuited… Albert Yanit - Albertron Through 2008, we focused on training to understand the foundation moves in hip hop east coast and west coast styles! But also while learning the hip hop styles, we were also forming our own home UK grounded style called “SKOOLBOI” which means fresh student... So no matter the time of the hip hop age, we’re keeping our style fresh, always evolving hip hop and creating new movements to the hip hop sounds. As the Animaineax’s train in dance, they also have a MAD love for fashion which is a head turner or even a photo opportunity! It is in Filipino blood to always look fresh and keep the comb in your back pocket! To finish off, the secret to our crew is........ That this is our lifestyle!!! We don't force ourselves to do these things! It's just in our nature to want to be around each other. It’s the same law as gravity! Our heads are always positive and high in the sky, and no one can bring us down! We love what we do and we will express it to the World! We want to educate to the World that hip hop is positive! We want to express that the dance in you is more important than money! And in our belief, we would rather have a million hip hop moves than a million pounds! Because you can lose a million pounds! But you will never lose those million moves in your mind! And that's the lifestyle of the Animaineax’s Crew! And this is a lifestyle you will never forget!
