Anthea’s career began in local radio, presenting for the BBC in her native Stoke and has seen her become one of the best known faces of broadcasting in the UK, hosting both top ratings entertainment shows and current affairs programmes.
Following a move from Sky, Anthea's debut on national television was with the BBC on But First This followed by Saturday morning show Up2U, Britain's most successful TV music show Top of the Pops and  BBC1 flagship children’s programme, Blue Peter.  Anthea spent 2 years as anchor on GMTV alongside Eamonn Holmes and was inaugural presenter of BBC1’s National Lottery Live. More recently Anthea returned to the BBC with Anthea Turner: Perfect Housewife which became cult viewing and ran for 3 consecutive series. In 2009 Anthea appeared on ITV’s Hell’s Kitchen alongside husband Grant Bovey. The appearance aligned perfectly with Anthea’s next culinary conquest as guest judge on Channel 4’s Britain’s Best Dish.
