Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to a number of incidents that happened on Sunday (6/9) in Milton Keynes.
At around 3.45am, a group of people had crossed the road outside Kentucky Fried Chicken on Avebury Boulevard, towards the taxi rank, when an altercation occurred between a man and a woman from the group. The man pushed the woman and then threw a shopping trolley against a fence.
Another woman, not from the group, approached the man and said something to him. He then punched her. The woman responded by punching the other woman in the face, causing her to drop her handbag.
Two men got out of a green Ford Fiesta and approached the man before assaulting him. They then took the woman’s handbag from the floor, got back in the car and drove off. The vehicle was later stopped nearby by officers.
PC Barbara Dragt, who is investigating the incidents, said: “I would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time as they may be able to help me with my investigation.”
Anyone with any information about the incidents should contact PC Dragt at Milton Keynes police station via 0845 8 505 505. If you don’t want to talk to police or leave your name, please contact the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
