Police are appealing for witnesses following a fire at a children’s play area in Milton Keynes at around 2.50am on 31 August.The fire at the Mill Field in Stony Stratford (opposite Horn Lane) caused a significant amount of damage to the play area. It is being treated as arson. As a result, the play area is now unsafe for children to use and has had to be cordoned off to the public. Police community support officer (PCSO) for Stony Stratford, James Down, said: “This is the second spate of damage caused to the play area this year. I urge anyone with information to come forward. “It is vitally important that the offenders are caught to deter any potential future reoccurrences of damage to the play area.” Did you witness or have information about the incident?
