The victim was approached by the offender who asked him for a cigarette. He refused and was then punched in the face. The victim sustained a broken nose, swollen cheek bone and a black eye. The incident happened on Wednesday 7 October at about 7pm
The offender is dark skinned, about 5ft 6ins, stocky with a shaven head. He was wearing a distinctive black, flat-peaked cap with white writing on it, a dark coloured NYC coat with fur lining, dark coloured bottoms and black shell style, chunky, Adidas trainers.
This was a very busy time of night and police are sure there were witnesses to the attack. Officers would like to hear from anyone who saw the assault take place.
