Emerson Valley Combined SchoolThames Valley Police in Milton Keynes is appealing for witnesses after an eight-year-old schoolboy was assaulted and the offender attempted to steal his bicycle on Thursday (15/7/2010).

The boy left school at 3.35pm to cycle home when he was approached by a teenage boy outside Emerson Valley Combined School on Hodder Lane, Emerson Valley. The offender attempted to steal the boy’s bicycle before spitting in the victim’s face and then running down Hodder Lane towards the V3 Fulmer Street.

The offender is black, aged around 14 years old, 5ft 2ins and slim. He had short, shaved black hair and was wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts and black plimsoles. He was described as being unsteady on his feet.

As a result of the incident the boy has been left upset and is now having to be picked up from school by his family as he does not want to travel home from school alone. There would have been a number of children and parents in the area around the time of the offence and police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.

Anyone who saw the offender in the area around the time of the offence or has any information is urged to contact PC Andrew Pearce at Milton Keynes police station via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505.
