Beatcheck, Milton Keynes' biggest underground club, night will no longer run at Revolution Bar.
After a long period of discussions, promoters felt that the night did not have a certain future at the venue and it was decided to end the residency.
The show on February 20 with the Dub Pistols and Rondney P will not go ahead, but Beatcheck promoters have promised that the night will return in another form in the very near future.
Promoter Jason Charles said: "It's never an easy decision canceling a night, but we felt that we were unable to carry on.
"However, we are working on a way to bring Beatcheck back to the concrete city and make it bigger, better and more banging than ever before. We expect to have things back up and running before people's cravings for beats and breaks get so strong that they start punching concrete pillars in frustration, so we are asking them to please bear with us.
"We also want to thank everyone for their support, coming to the night and making it a huge success at Revolution for nearly three years. We owe them a decent night, so we promise that we will return very very shortly"
An announcement on the future of Beatcheck will be made in the coming weeks.
