Research by Saga's Equity Release Service* has revealed that the new generation of retirees are bucking tradition and believe their children do not automatically have a right to inheritance. Only 1 in 10 (12%) say they disagree with equity release products because they believe the home should be for children to inherit.

The Daily Mail is still proud of itself for ignoring rules of sub judice in its coverage of the Stephen Lawrence murder case. They printed pictures of the five white suspected of killing the black teenager, under the banner headline ‘Murderers’ Now that the rules of double jeopardy have been abolished, two of the five and one other may face a re trial. Having learned nothing from persecuting the innocent Colin Stagg and trying to get John Hogan pilloried on the word of his wife; they have run a story, which presents us with the suspect’s guilt before the re trial.

New Labour loves fat cats and wouldn’t be in power without them. Their friends in British Gas have announced a 570% rise in profits. This is great the foreign owned company’s investors. As a public utility they can’t lose because the state would prop them up if in difficulty- like the banks. Meanwhile customers face a 15% rise in prices. The company made £1,75 million a day in 2007.

This a UK where New Labour’s deputy leader got off Scot free after having an affair- which included sex with his stocking and suspender wearing diary secretary- in his state funded office and apartment. So in an equal society one would wonder why the News of the World was so concerned that Scottish Socialist leader Tommy Sheridan might be a serial adulterer.

Beer Inflation February

Beer is good for making drinkers, brewers and government fat. According to brewers its about to hit £4 a pint. Beer doesn’t count in the government’s meaningless inflation calculations.

A large part of the price of beer is tax so they are not out to stop people drinking. It’s going up mainly because production costs are rising. These cost are rising because the economy is in serious mess.

"Princess Diana also told me personally before and during the holiday we shared in July 1997 of her fears.

"She told me that she knew Prince Philip and Prince Charles were trying to get rid of her. I’ve been fighting for ten years. This is the moment for me to say exactly what I feel happened to my son and Diana."

He said Diana and Dodi were preparing to announce their engagement when they died and is on record as believing the Princess was pregnant with Dodi’s child.
