Building on the Little Lives Appeal |
|
Milton Keynes Hospital cares for more than 300 babies each year which are are premature, small or ill, with some babies born up to 16 weeks early. The Trust’s appeal is raising money to fully refurbish the Neonatal Unit, to compiment its four new high dependency cots and state-of-the-art equipment. Ivor Lafford of Savills said: “I am delighted to announce that the Little Lives Appeal is our charity of the year. We will be raising as much as we can for this excellent cause over the next 12 months. “We have already been able to raise £250 by selling an old laptop and some old printer cartridges and would urge other local companies to look through their store cupboards to see if they have unused equipment which could help this local appeal.” Glenda Deacon, manager of the Neonatal Unit, said: “We are delighted that Savills have chosen us as their charity of the year and are very grateful to people across the community who are supporting us. “The Trust has paid for all the equipment we need, but some babies need to stay with us for months, so the money raised through the Little Lives Appeal will help us to refurbish and make the time families spend here as comfortable as possible.” Glenda will also be speaking at the company’s development seminar on June 24. Savills is expecting almost 100 delegates, including house builders, bankers and solicitors, who will be encouraged to donate to the appeal. |

The Little Lives Appeal at Milton Keynes Hospital was given a boost this week when real estate company Savills adopted the appeal as its charity of the year.
