Carling Cup Result: MK Dons - 2 Dagenham & Redbridge - 1

Jabo Ibehre netted 2 goals as the MK Dons came from a goal down to knock Dagenham & Redbridge out of the league cup.

The visitors were put ahead on the quarter of an hour mark by Damien McCory with a sensational 25-yard free kick.

Mk Dons held things together and 10 minutes into the second half Jabo Ibehre got onto Jamaine Easters pass and slotted the ball under the Daggers keeper Tony Roberts but Ibehre wasn’t finished there. With 10 minutes to go Ibehre secured the win after taking advantage of a poor back pass to beat the keeper for a second time.

Mk Dons Boss Karl Robinson said after the match “For the first time I had to have a go at people at half-time.”Everything's been quite smooth up until now but I had to open up a little bit and had a go at certain people and asked them to raise their game. "I said to them before they went out, 'if you don't raise your game you come off', it's as simple as that."
