Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a number of children’s toys at a family centre in Milton Keynes were stolen and damaged beyond repair.
Offenders entered the rear garden to the family centre, at Greenleys Local Centre, Ardwell Lane, Greenleys, at about 6.15pm on Sunday (17/10), and forced entry to a metal shed. Offenders stole the children’s toys, including a red and yellow Little Tyke ride-on car and a wooden fire engine.
The toys were found nearby and had been damaged beyond repair.
PC Terry Capel, investigating, said: “The value of the toys is only about £120, however this organisation provides invaluable support to local families and the loss of these toys will have a big impact on the children who use them. This is a senseless crime and I urge anyone with information to contact me or Crimestoppers.”
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is urged to contact PC Capel at Milton Keynes police station via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. If you do not want to talk to the police, call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
