Here at P3 we dedicate our time to work with your dogs and teach you how to train them and have fun with them!

We cater for all aspects of dog training including pet obedience courses and agility lessons.  

It is important that we understand what you want to achieve with your dog and take the time to speak to you about your dog and your own goals of what you would like to do with your dog.  We then put a plan into place with you and start working to what you wish to achieve.

Our specialised dog training courses work with you and your dog.  With reward based training methods to get the best from your dog and friend!

P3’s dog trainers have many years of experience working with all types of dogs, their ages and levels.  They have experience in breed showing, obedience and agility putting all of their knowledge in place to help you with your dog!

Why is Dog Training important?

It is really important that you are able to control your dog.  This includes when you are out walking as well as in your home environment.  Our obedience course covers many aspects of the Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme to help you to understand the reasons why we train this way.  This includes basic dog obedience as stays and waits as well as working our dogs in a social environment so that our dogs feel at ease with other dogs.  For example, why do we ask our dogs to stop and wait?  There are many reason for this.  Image that your dog is free running and comes to a road; we need to tell the dog to wait to ensure that the dog and any car drivers are safe.  Plus, not only will you have a controllable dog, you will also have a lot of fun learning how to do so!

Dog agility

P3’s agility classes take place on a Saturday mornings in Milton Keynes and cater for all levels of agility and agility training.  Agility is a team effort between you and your dog!  Within agility you have to teach your dog to work each piece of equipment.  This includes the A Frame, Dog Walk, Long Jump, Weaves, Seesaw and the jumps!

We will take our time with you and your dog and show you each piece of equipment and how it works and then the fun starts, training!    Agility is a great way of keeping fit with your dog as well as having lots of fun!

Keeping your dog’s coat in Tip-Top condition

Attending regular grooming sessions will help you with keeping your dog’s coat in a tip-top healthy condition.  Regular grooming by thoroughly removing any dead skin/hair build-up will prevent your dog’s coat becoming badly tangled/knotted.  Badly knotted coats can sometimes lead to skin problems as dirt and small particles get trapped in these knots which, if left after a lengthy period of time, will tighten and pull on your dog’s skin causing some discomfort.

Clipping and Scissoring:

The majority of our traditional styling is created by the use of clipping/scissoring as it an economical way to keep your pet looking like the breed standard.  If traditional styling is not for you we are able to tailor a trim to suit you and your dog’s lifestyle. Handstripping

Handstripping is a dying art that many dog groomers no longer offer but we can help!  Handstripping is done to breed standard where the coat is handstripped to promote healthy skin tone, proper coat texture and rich colour.
If you have a breed that is traditionally handstripped and you wish to opt for this grooming style then speak to us!  Please contact us for more information and to obtain a price for your breed.

Doggy MOT’s

MOT’s are ideal if you do not want your dog’s coat to be cut shorter during the colder weather but would like him/her to have a clean and healthy shine or perhaps a spruce up between full clips. 
MOT’s include bathing, ear/teeth cleaning and nail clipping.  An MOT is an ideal way of ensuring your dog stays free from knots and tangles, has short nails and sweet smelling ears and no doggy breath!
MOT’s start from £15.00 depending on breed and size of dog.

Bath only

This is ideal for the dog that is a mud magnet, rolling in nasty smells or makes a dive into stagnant ponds.  It includes a warm water bath with full shampoo and conditioner.
