Dons shock Premier League Blackpool |

MK Dons 4-3 Blackpool After the shocking defeat away to Carlisle in the league on Saturday, MK Dons knew they had a chance to immediately put matters right with a good performance against Premier League Blackpool in the 2nd round of the Carling Cup. And they wasted no time in proving their point with a Sam Baldock goal in the first minute of the match. Brett Ormerod levelled the match on the hour, however the Dons hit back straight away thanks to two goals from prolific striker Jermaine Easter. However Blackpool were not in the mood for giving up despite the strange absence of their manager Ian Holloway, and Ludovic Sylvestre scored again to make it 3-2. In the final five minutes of the match Pool were awarded a dubious penalty that was scored by substitute Charlie Adam and took the match into extra time. However in a dramatic end to the match substitute Lewis Guy beat the offside trap to score with ten minutes left and the Dons held out for one of the best wins in their history. |
