Outdoor summer concerts are an ideal summer activity to share with family and friends.  What better to way to pass a long summer evening, than with a relaxing picnic at one of the Proms or Jazz concerts?  Alternatively you can enjoy food and drink from our high quality outlets at the concert.

We specialise in choosing beautiful parkland locations, sometimes in the grounds of stately homes, but also in town and city centres which pride themselves on creating an urban oasis with well maintained parks and green spaces.

SUMMER DIARY OF A DOMESTIC DIVA!

juliette pochin at cambell park milton keynesAs she begins her third season of summer Proms picnic concerts with leading UK producers and promoters Easternbreeze, stunning mezzo soprano Juliette Pochin says she enjoys these concerts so much because “The atmosphere is simply amazing. I love the fact that it’s full of families too. You see tiny tots and grandparents all enjoying themselves and singing along –it’s infectious”.

She describes the experience of standing on stage in front of thousands of people, waving flags and singing along as “Exhilarating! There’s such a celebratory atmosphere - it feels rather like New Years Eve!  Although I have my own personal favourites I prefer to sing something which the audience clearly love and know.”

Over the years Juliette has been joined on stage by a number of huge celebrities, including G4, Russell Watson and Aled Jones and says “Whoever I’m singing with at the time tends to be my favourite! But it’s always great to see young singers who are still studying getting a chance to stand up on stage in front of a huge crowd for the first time.”

fireworks at cambell park milton keynesThis year she will be joined by tenor Lynton Atkinson at Campbell Park, Milton Keynes on Saturday 19th July, performing with the London Gala Orchestra conducted by Hilary Davan Wetton.

Her meltingly smooth voice has sometimes been described as ‘chocolaty’, leading to Hotel Chocolat naming a chocolate “Juliette” after her, which has to be every girl’s dream!

Her latest incarnation is as “The Domestic Diva’, a nickname coined for her by the Daily Mail, which published her diary describing the chaotic juggling act required to maintain a successful career in music with a happy home life and now the title of her second solo album due to be released later this year (www.juliettepochin.com).

As well as the summer Proms season and the release of ‘The Domestic Diva’, Juliette is also looking forward to singing for the UN for the 2nd time in New York in the autumn and to performing in Venice in September.

Asked if she could only sing one more time, what would she choose to sing, Juliette said “Now that’s a very hard one and it would change with whatever I’m working on but I’ve just recorded the theme by Morricone from ‘Once Upon a Time in America’ for my new album and I think it’s an incredibly powerful piece of music and I’m singing it all round the house. Also ‘Mon coeur s’ouvre a ta voix’ from Samson and Delilah is just wonderful to sing as it has such emotional soaring melodies.”

Let’s hope that moment is a long way off as we look forward to seeing Juliette in full voice at Campbell Park on Saturday 19th July and all the other venues that she is appearing at with the London Gala Orchestra throughout the summer.
