This year’s Festival (2009) will combine a Christmas Market, with some festive entertainment and fayre. To date, we have 24 traders attending, to enable you to purchase that extra special Christmas gift, from hand-made cards, to home-made jams, hand-made jewellery, crystals, plant displays, gift boxes and embroidery, plus much more.
The market will be housed within the splendour of the Mansion, warm and dry with lots of atmosphere.
We have spoken with Santa who has promised to do all that he can to be there – can’t think that he will have anything else to do at this time of year.

Entertainment will be provided by CK Gospel Choir, JP Jazz will bring a different impression of Christmas, together with the Diamond School of Performing Arts who will have their superb choir and maybe a modern take on the nativity.
Milton Keynes Play Association will have a range of activities for the younger ones, so that they are occupied while mum and dad shop.

There will also be some fairground rides for the children, with perhaps some candy floss.
Local Street Artists, Festive Road, will be working with three local primary schools, helping the youngsters to make some colourful lanterns, which they will parade around the oval lawn at Bletchley Park at about 5pm on the day of the event.

This was spectacular last year, despite the inclement weather ( which we won’t have this year – it is booked as fine)
Bletchley Park caterers, Zest catering, will keep the restaurant open for sale of Turkey rolls, mince pies and hot drinks, with mulled wine.

If you have not visited Bletchley Park recently, we urge you to put the date of the Festival of Christmas in your diary. Christmas is a magical time of year for most and this event promises to bring you all the atmosphere that is Bletchley Park, enhanced by the magical effects of Christmas.

Whether it’s shopping for that special gift, joining in the carols, or just taking in the general bonhomie, we hope to see you there.
Car parking and entrance to Bletchley Park is free, after 4pm, on the day of the event
