Nasreen Mohamedi: Notes is a major solo exhibition of work by important Indian artist Nasreen Mohamedi (1937-1990). Her diary pages, drawings and photographs combine Western influences such as Paul Klee and Kasimir Malevich with Islamic architectural forms and a South Asian sensibility, resulting in a very personal body of work. During the final weekend (13-15 November) the gallery offers a range of related events, including dance performances in response to the exhibition, activities for children at the Saturday Art Trolley, and the opportunity to talk with the gallery’s Live Guides. In addition, you can see a presentation of artwork made by workshop participants in response to the exhibition.
