Geri Halliwell visits Asda Milton Keynes on Sat 3rd May

Geri Halliwell was signing copies of her brand new childrens book Ugenia Lavender. A story about a courageous nine-year-old tomboy, her family the Lavenders and her friends Rudy, Bronte and crazy Trevor. Geri has written six children's books each containing three stories which will be published monthly up until October. Halliwell began writing the books four years ago in Los Angeles and through her character Ugenia Lavender she has found another way of promoting girl power. You'll be sure to find a definite resemblance of Geri in Ugenia and similarities in her journeys and adventures. She's also created audio versions of the books supplying the characters voices herself.

Geri turned up at around 12:45 for a 5 minute photo session with the press, then sat down to sign books for fans. In person she was quite petite and looked good as you can see in the photos. At the moment she has no desire to carry on with her music, obviously finding happiness walking an alternative route in her career. So with her daughter Bluebell being born in 2006, maybe she will get her mum to read the stories for her. It is to be noted there is also plans in the pipeline for a TV series.
