Our fractured society

union jack flag

I occasionally see an old wind beaten car fume covered Union Jack flying from beneath someone’s bedroom window, still there as a reminder of the defeats of football past. It isn’t a flag of pride. No wonder that the Welsh and the Scottish people would rather fly their own individual flag, and I don’t blame

So honestly, why aren’t we patriotic anymore? Have we ever been? Maybe in the two world wars we were, and there were good reasons for standing up for what we believed in. We had a common oppressor, and it brought us together. I wonder what it will take to get us standing together again with pride, we are at war all over the globe, and it has just made the situation worse. Plus we have an untrustworthy government, lying to us continuously, and we put up with it. Who can we trust? The authorities most certainly do not trust us. We are being bugged, watched continuously on CCTV, every credit/debit card is monitored, point’s cards which are used in stores are used to check up on us just in case we use cash. T.V. is used as an instruction manual brainwashing us into being something we are not. (See subliminal T.V. messaging posted earlier in my column). Mobile phones track our every movement, and soon it will be the I.D. card, to be swiped every time you open a door, or take a piss.

We cannot live our lives to such strict regime. The war mongered against Saddam Hussein was all about fighting against this same kind of oppression (apparently). Police are out there in force, as our friend “Dick Tate” suggests watching for easy targets, targets that don’t really matter to the safety of our families, but targets which bring in the maximum amount of cash to fund our disgusting crusade across the globe, and it is a crusade, nothing less, and I am sorry for the brave soldiers who have lost their lives for us, and do not get asked to fight, but ordered by the fat and the greedy power crazed politicians.

It is an embracement to be associated with the Christian world. I believe that we should look after and take care of people. Help them when you can, and if someone is hungry then we should feed them, doesn’t matter what colour or race they are, or how they live. We need to start caring for one another instead of milking one another for their last penny. The world has gone money mad and it is the filthy rich who really are filthy. If greed could be shown on a person as dirt, then our leaders would be wearing the heavy aroma of shit. Somewhere along the lines you can guarantee that the wars we have over stretched ourselves to take part in, has to make money. If it does not, then we will be paying for it for sure.

Gibbo.
