"SNAP up a Frock was a great way to revamp your wardrobe by bagging a fantastic outfit at the fraction of the cost," said Sally Fennemore, Fundraising Co-ordinator for MK SNAP. "As well as clothes from local boutiques we also had fitting experts on the day to help put the perfect outfit together. Then with the excellent co-branded bags from thecentre:mk we were able to ensure everyone went away looking absolutely fabulous.”

This isn’t the first time thecentre:mk has supported MK SNAP, they were recently announced as this year’s beneficiaries for the Wishing Pool at thecentre:mk’s highly anticipated Christmas show.

“thecentre:mk are thrilled to be involved with MK SNAP,” commented Jackie Tracey, events manager at thecentre:mk. "MK SNAP does such excellent work in providing work and life skills training to people over 16 with learning and physical disabilities. Through events like this and the donations to the Wishing Pool the people of Milton Keynes can help MK SNAP have a positive impact on people’s lives."

The event was hosted jointly with the organisation MK Women and Work, which helps women in the area wishing to return to work or training to update their skills by providing information, advice and practical support in the form of a good working wardrobe. On Saturday three women who wish to return to work got a brand new look with advice on make-up, hair and putting an outfit together.  Any clothes unsold on the day were donated to Women and Work to help more women back into the work place.

The event was sponsored by Stratstone Milton Keynes and Baker Tilly.
