Interview with Simon and Beef at Underpass Crauford Arms

Simon and Beef from Milton Keynes have been friends for over ten years and have performed as many as a hundred gigs, which makes sense considering the quality of their set. The music could be described as Funky Country Folk or just 'Country Funk'. They're fans of the Chillies, Pearl Jam, Blind Melon, Neil Young. And if they could record an album with someone it would be with the Chillies. I asked them what inspires them to write or perform. They said they "loved the buzz they get from the crowd" and that "there's nothing like feeling the grove." When it comes to bad habits Simon laughed and said they "have plenty but will leave it to the imagination." When it comes to being proud, this would be "the achievement of getting in front of an audience and really enjoying ourselves." As well as being performers they both hold down full-time jobs with Simon working at the Pitz. I think Beef is going on holiday so hopefully he'll be back soon. I really do hope that Simon and Beef keep on doing their stuff, drop the covers and keep writing more of their own material. Loved em.
