Matrons Matthew Sandham and Jan Wilson will deliver an overview of recent and forthcoming nursing and patient care developments, focusing on quality of care and how treating patients with dignity, value and respect is being placed at the heart of all services delivered by Milton Keynes Hospital.
Bob Heavisides, Director of Facilities, will deliver an overview of site developments and the improvements that are being made to enhance patient privacy and dignity.
Bob Heavisides, Director of Facilities, said: “This year Milton Keynes Hospital marks its Silver Anniversary. All local people are invited to come along and find out first hand what is happening at the hospital, and discover how we are advancing improvements in dignity and privacy.
“This event also offers patients and the public the chance to ask any questions regarding site developments and our future plans.”
In the 1970s a local campaign with the slogan Milton Keynes is “Dying for a Hospital” was led by residents. In 1984 Milton Keynes Hospital opened its doors, and today the rapidly expanding Trust has 563 beds and employs over 3,000 staff.
