A man who lived in Milton Keynes has been charged with 19 serious sexual offences involving children.

David Humbles, aged 38, was charged with 11 counts of rape, six counts of indecent assault, one count of sexual assault and one count of gross indecency.

Mr Humbles, from Lancashire, was formerly known as Max Mitchell and David Tompkins.

The charges relate to offences committed against six children between the ages of four and 15 years old between 1992 and 2008. Fourteen of the charges relate to offences committed in Milton Keynes; four charges relate to offences in Hertfordshire and one in Lancashire.

Mr Humbles has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Huntingdon Crown Court on 5 August.
