Jason Burrows, aged 34, from Milton Road, Broughton in Milton Keynes, found guilty of murdering Gemma Sisley and sentenced to life imprisonment on (03/07/09)
The jury were out for just over an hour before returning their guilty verdict at Luton Crown Court. Jason Burrows was sentenced to life in prison and will serve a minimum of 15 years.
Gemma Sisley, aged 22, was murdered by Mr Burrows at his home address on Wednesday 15 October 2009.
Acting Det Insp Tony Collingwood, who was at court for the verdict said: “Obviously we are delighted that the jury have found Mr Burrows guilty. This callous act destroyed the life of a young woman and has left her family and friends devastated. Our thoughts and sympathy at this time are with the family of Gemma who have shown considerable strength and courage throughout this entire harrowing experience.”
Two men remanded in custody – Milton Keynes

Two men have been remanded in custody following an appearance at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ court this morning (2/7) in connection with sexual assaults.
Robert Horne, aged 25, from the Crownhill area, is charged with two counts of sexual assault relating to the incidents on 2 May and 5 June.
Horne is jointly charged with Gavyn Bull-Jones, aged 21, from the Stantonbury area of Milton Keynes, with attempted rape relating to the incident on 27 May.
Both Mr Horne and Mr Bull-Jones will appear at Huntingdon Crown Court on Wednesday (8/7)
