A man from Milton Keynes has been sentenced to three years in prison after being found guilty of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply.
Sean Gillings, aged 21, from Hopton Grove, Newport Pagnell, was sentenced at Huntington Crown Court today (13/5) after being found guilty at his trial on 7 April 2010.
Gillings was arrested in May 2009 after numerous wraps of cocaine and drugs paraphernalia were seized by police during a routine house search, in connection with an unrelated offence.
Det Sgt Mark Smyth, who led the investigation said: “We hope this sends out a strong message to anyone in Milton Keynes involved in dealing drugs. If you’re found dealing class A drugs, you can expect to go to prison for a substantial amount of time. Police and the courts recognise that a large amount of crime is fuelled by drugs and if we get information to say someone is dealing drugs in Milton Keynes they can expect an early morning wake up call from us very soon.”
