Open Access evening & Disability Access Steering groupOpen Access Evening & Disability Access Steering Group

Milton Keynes Gallery and Milton Keynes Theatre jointly hosted a successful Open Access information and recruitment evening on 19 August aimed at blind, deaf and disabled people. Attendees enjoyed tours of the Gallery and Theatre supported by BSL interpreters and audio describers, heard feedback from disabled participants about some initial research evaluating disabled user needs, and were invited to register to join a Gallery & Theatre Disability Access Steering Group aimed at improving services to the disabled community.

For further information please contact Natalie Walton on 01908 558 305 or email n.walton@mk-g.org

"It was wonderful to see the theatre and gallery working together to improve their services. I think that this is a great idea and this is a great start."
