The walk in centre is set up to reduce the number of patients at Milton Keynes Hospital with less serious injuries. The walk in centre is open every day of the year from 7am to 10pm and appointments are not needed at all. The walk in centre caters for the following:

Minor Ailments

Minor Injuries


  • Coughs, colds and flu like symptoms
  • High Temperature
  • Hay Fever
  • Headaches and dizziness
  • Stomach ache, indigestion, constipation, vomiting and diarrhoea
  • Minor problems affecting the eye, e.g. conjunctivitis, sties
  • Skin complaints - e.g. rashes, minor allergic reactions, scabies, headlice, nappy rash, shingles, eczema, impetigo, herpes (cold sores)
  • Urinary infections, thrush, menstrual problems
  • Insect bite and stings
  • Emergency contraception
  • Superficial cuts and burns

  • Minor burns and scalds
  • Sprains and strains to limbs
  • Minor head injuries where there has been no loss of consciousness
