sex-offenderA man from Milton Keynes has been sentenced to an indeterminate prison sentence after pleading guilty to a number of serious sexual offences.

Tristan Longworth, aged 18, from Arncliffe Drive, Heelands, was sentenced at Huntingdon Crown Court on Wednesday (12/7/2010), after pleading guilty to one count of rape, one count of sexual assault by penetration, one count of Section 20 wounding and one count of causing actual bodily harm.

He will serve a minimum of three and a half years in a Young Offenders Institution before he can apply for parole. Even then he will only be released if he can prove he is no longer a risk to the public. He will also be on a Sex Offenders Prevention Order for life.

The sentence relates to an assault on 27 June 2009 in Linford Wood, along the V7 Saxon Street close to Linford Wood petrol station. Longworth, who was 17 at the time, carried out the attack on a 15-year-old boy, after following him from the petrol station to the woods where he was beaten and sexually assaulted.

Det Sgt Chris Jackson, who led the investigation, said: “We are pleased that Longworth has been given an indeterminate sentence which should see him locked up for a long time. His victim has been very brave during this whole ordeal and now that Longworth is being made to pay for his despicable crimes he can hopefully start to rebuild his life.”
