Milton Keynes: Run for the Children 3K Family Run! |
Several hundred children will be fun-running round Campbell Park on the 13th July 08 to raise money for children with multiple disabilities due to brain injury and we want you to join us! You've heard of ‘Race for Life’ for women, well, this is ‘Run for the Children’ for children. It’s one of 20 events across the country. Events start from 10am, with a warm-up at 10.45am and the run setting off at 11am. Swifty the Hare will be cheering everyone on and giving out hugs and stickers to the little ones. At the finish post is water and fruit for all participants, plus a Fit for Fun Action Pack stuffed with activities and recipes from top foods writer Annabel Karmel. Speed and style are not important – everyone wins a medal, so dust off Great Aunt Agatha and get your speedy toddler into trainers and run to success! The event is to raise money for The Children’s Trust, a U.K. charity that helps children affected by brain injuries acquired through things like car accidents and Meningitis.
