Following a triumphant West End run in 2008, The Pirates of Penzance from Carl Rosa Opera tours to Milton Keynes Theatre 11 – 15 May starring Paul Nicholas as the Pirate King a role he made famous and which delighted audiences at the Chichester Festival Theatre last autumn. Regarded by many as the most gloriously topsy-turvy of Gilbert & Sullivan’s works, this stunning Carl Rosa Opera production made history with the first ever female Sergeant of Police in its 2008 London season. The extensive 2010 tour of this glorious production promises audiences an unforgettable Gilbert & Sullivan experience. Held in great affection Carl Rosa Opera, under the Artistic Directorship of Peter Mulloy, continues to present work of the highest standard to audiences both familiar with and new to the world of opera.
