Thursday 22nd october / £2.50 / 7pm doors After kicking off last month with a very successful concert featuring Heart Of A Coward On 22nd October BACKSTAGE PROMOTIONS return with they're second concert headlined by Arms Of Atlas Based at Stantonbury Campus, turning the dinner hall into a 250 capacity fully working venue, Basckatge Live is set up and run by the students for young music fans all over MK.. everyone is welcome!!! Backstage want to become an important & vital venue and place to play within MK'S music scene, showcasing some of the most exciting young original bands from in and around Milton Keynes. www.myspace.com/backstagelive ![]() ARMS OF ATLAS Brand new exciting passionate modern rock band featruing Jim Davey guitarist/vocalist with MK'S Ska Punk legends SIX POINT FIVE the band are currently recording songs to be released as their debut E.P and have also spent the last few months gigging up and down the UK honing their they sound into a devestating rock 'n' roll killing machine, building a loyal local following and winning over new fans wherever they play! its non stop touring and an energetic live show that's not to be missed! www.myspace.com/armsofatlasuk Embrace the Tide - are an established Milton Keynes based five piece who produce technical, melodic metal which is cleverly fused with aspects of other styles and genres. They combine a wide range of influences, creating a unique sound which allows something new and fresh to be brought to the music scene. Since their formation in December 2008, Embrace the Tide have already shared the stage with the likes of Exit Ten, Sacred Mother Tongue, Forever Never, Shadows Chasing Ghosts and Fellsilent despite the band having an average age of only 18. www.myspace.com/embracethetide THE W.A'S...a band that was formed oh so long ago in the center of Bradwell Common by the chosen ones; Tom and Leo. Many had heard of them playing acoustic versions of their punk songs in the middle of Midsummer Place, though not many had actually witnessed such an event. People asked “could such a band possibly exist?” (man, this band sounds legend!) We have now moved on from sounding like a typical 'punk' band of yonder times (I believe we formed around 2007 – bare time ago) and developed a style that covers a broader range of categories to the point in which it's just plain indefinable. We like to play loud and aggressive... but sometimes not-so loud and aggressive (we haven't really conveyed much there, have we?) But at heart, the band is punk... we just don't really play punk or look punk. But with that logic, we could say we're an improv jazz group for crying out loud! Yeah, lets cut to it: arrogant singer - Tom; laid-back bassist - Leo; overly-cool and quiet guitarist - Callum www.myspace.com/walkingabortions Paul Rivers Pitz club promoter privers@woughtoncentre.co.uk 01908 308374
