affrayThames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after CCTV captured a man being assaulted in Milton Keynes yesterday (28/9/2010).

A group of between six and eight black men, plus one white man were seen to chase the victim outside The Point and down Lower Ninth Street at approximately 5.20pm. The white man was seen to run towards the victim and one of the black men is seen assaulting the victim.

The victim, a black man, who has not been identified by the police and has not contacted the police was wearing a black padded hooded jacket and jeans. Police are urging the victim to contact them, so they can assist with the incident and ensure he is not injured.

The white man was wearing a white belt and trousers. The black man who assaulted the victim was wearing a dark-coloured hooded jumper with a beige body warmer over the top and a black baseball cap with a white emblem on.

Police are appealing for the victim and anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. There were a number of people waiting at the bus stop on Lower Ninth Street who would have seen the group running past and they are keen to speak to these people as they may have information vital to the investigation.

The victim and anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact PC Jennifer Van Santen at Milton Keynes police station via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. If you do not want to talk to the police, call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
