Thames Valley Police is asking members of the public to contact them if they are offered a rare, cut price Nixon watch, following a burglary in Milton Keynes.
Fifteen watches, worth over £2,000, were stolen from Bucks Boarding Centre, in Duckworth Court, Oldbrook, at around 4.20am on Saturday 5 June. The shutters on the front of the shop were damaged and entry was gained through the front door.
PC Mark Underwood, leading the investigation, said: “These watches can only be sold by approved retailers, so you should never see them for sale on market stalls or at a car boot sale. They are very distinctive and not something you come across every day.
“If anyone has been offered a Nixon watch for sale or has bought one recently in good faith, please contact police. We can very quickly check if they are one of the watches that were stolen in this burglary.”
If you have any information about this incident, please contact PC Underwood at Milton Keynes police station via the 24-hour non-emergency number, 0845 8 505 505. If you do not want to speak to the police, call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
You can also give information to the police in person by visiting any police station. Find out the opening times and location of your local station (opens new window) or please call 0845 8 505 505.
