 G4S, the world's largest secure solutions group and an official ‘Back the bid’ supporter for England’s 2018 World Cup bid, today delivered a copy of the official England 2018 Bid Book to Milton Keynes, one of the twelve prospective host cities.
G4S will simultaneously deliver the 2018 World Cup Bid Book documents to the other eleven potential host cities as well as Milton Keynes, where it was presented to the local bid ambassador and Chairwoman of the Milton Keynes 2018 Bid Board, Ann Limb at stadium: mk.
On Wednesday 12 May, G4S delivered copies of the Bid Book and supporting materials to the headquarters of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) in Zurich, Switzerland on behalf of the Football Association (FA). The transportation and safe delivery of the Bid Book drew upon the combined expertise, operational network and ability to provide secure logistics services worldwide of G4S’s UK-based Secure Solutions, Cash Solutions and International Logistics businesses.
Of the applicant cities around the country, Milton Keynes was selected as one of the official bid host cities for the coveted tournament. Milton Keynes has been joined by eleven other famous football cities including Leeds, London and Manchester. The Bid Book was delivered in a highly specialised, G4S Cash Solutions vehicle.
