Small and medium sized businesses join together in an innovative new project with YourRacingCar.com
Milton Keynes based motorsport outfit YourRacingCar.com shook things up a bit when they arrived on the grid of the biggest motor racing series in the UK in April this year.
Their striking black Ginetta G50 race car was sporting an unusual livery – very unlike those of its competitors in the Michelin Ginetta G50 Cup, part of the British Touring Car Championship. It was adorned with the names and pictures of motorsport fans from around the country who had stumped up £25 to be part of the YourRacingCar.com fan club.
The success of the team both on and off the track has attracted considerable attention from the media as well as plaudits from motorsport industry officials and now it’s the turn of small and medium sized businesses to revel in the glory with the team.
Currently standing an impressive fourth in the highly competitive championship, YourRacingCar.com are expanding their stable for the 2010 season with the addition of the brand new Ginetta G40 race car – designed for 14-17 year old drivers serious about a professional career behind the wheel. This car will carry the fans livery in 2010. But what of the staggeringly beautiful, British built G50?
Team Owner Hannah James explains “We asked our fans for their input – which way should the club go and what did they want from it? A number of small and medium sized businesses came back to us asking how they could get involved and as a result we developed the YRC Guerrilla Marketing Club.”
This isn’t like your breakfast networking group although it does bare some resemblance to these organisations with its roots firmly set in business generation for all involved.
For just £1500 any organisation with an interest in linking up with like-minded businesses can become part of the club. Not only that, there is a strong online networking resource under development for members, VIP hospitality at a race circuit near you and a whole host of bolt-on offers available so each business can tailor its package….not to mention the tax incentives courtesy of HMRC.
If you’re part of a progressive business who looks for genuinely innovative marketing ideas and can see yourself trackside, getting a behind the scenes experience with a professional racing outfit and making strong business connections then give Hannah a call about the Guerrilla Marketing Club. Memberships are limited and a lock-out scheme is in place to maximise the value to members so don’t hang about.
Not interested in motor racing? Even better! There’s nothing like the look on someone’s face when they come to their first race.
