The Mother Of All Girls Nights Comes Home To Milton Keynes |
|
Written by talented local lass Louise Roche in 2000, Girls Night was first performed at the Madcap Theatre in Wolverton, MK featuring five of Louise’s school friends, in 2000. Since then it has toured the UK, Korea and the US recently ending a sell out run in New York in February. This thoughtful, brilliantly funny and down-to-earth production, which follows five gal pals as they relive their past on an hilarious, cocktail fuelled karaoke night out, returns to Britain with an all-new UK cast after sell out runs in the Far East and New York. Mother of three, Louise has penned several theatre productions, including Girls Behind and Bobby and Johnny, as well as writing for TV shows Where the Heart Is and Doctors and says “I’m so excited that Girls Night is coming home, after two years’ touring abroad” If you’ve ever sat around the kitchen table with your friends, pondering the relative benefits of skimpy underwear or how you ended up with personalised socks and a kitchen bin for Christmas, then it is very likely that you will enjoy Girls Night. “You will feel like you know the ladies in the show. Carol was born to party, Anita says it like it is, Liza has ‘issues’ and Kate, bless her, is boring but very handy for driving,” adds Louise. If karaoke and girlie anthems are your thing then you will be pleased to hear that every hit, from Dancing Queen to I Will Survive, is packed into this production. “Girls Night is for women of all ages – whether you have danced through a night of ‘new shoe blisters’ at your favourite nightclub or you just really know how to party!” concludes Louise.
