Based on a real life legal case, The Winslow Boy is an astonishing drama about injustice, the force of the establishment and the power of one family's love and belief in the truth.  When Ronnie Winslow, a thirteen-year-old naval cadet, is falsely accused of theft his father and sister take matters into their own hands to prove his innocence and to restore the honour of their family's name.

One of the UK’s most versatile actors, Timothy West ‘s recent stage credits include most recently Alan Bennett’s The Old Country, Death of a Salesman, Macbeth, King Lear at the National Theatre, The Birthday Party and The Master Builder. Among his many television appearances are Edward VII, Hard Times, Churchill and The Generals, Brass, Blore MP, Beecham, and most recently The Alan Clarke Diaries, Bedtime and Bleak House. He stars in the 2009 film Endgame.

Stephen Unwin, Artisitic Director of the Rose Theatre since January 2008, now directs the Rose Theatre’s first new production of 2009. Stephen founded English Touring Theatre and was its Artistic Director from 1993 to 2008, during which time he directed almost thirty productions of new and classical work for the company both on tour and in the West End.

Terence Rattigan produced his most successful work in the 1940s and 1950s. The Winslow Boy, The Browning Version, Harlequinade and The Deep Blue Sea are just a few of Rattigan’s plays to receive great critical acclaim. He is increasingly recognised as one of the finest British playwrights of the 20th century.
