Each year about 25 million people visit the shopping centre, some even travel the entire length of the country, that's why in 1997 thecentre:mk was voted the best of 900 shopping centres in the UK. Not wishing to rest on its laurels, however, the centre has carried out £25 million refurbishment including new seating, toilets, planting schemes and a creche, allowing parents to get on with their shopping while the children are kept amused with all manner of activities and play equipment.
Midsummer Place
Adjacent to this is Midsummer Place (01908 557000), which provides 50 additional shops, keeping Milton Keynes at the top of the most dedicated shopper's list.
