Two attempts to steal cash machines linked |

The first offence took place during the early hours of Friday 20 August, where offenders attempted to steal the cash machine from the Co-Op, Wordsworth Avenue, Newport Pagnell. The offenders used cutting tools in an attempt to remove the cash machine, but failed to do so and nothing was stolen. The second offence took place overnight between Wednesday (25/8) and Thursday (26/8) at the Co-Op, Tower Crescent, Tower Drive, Neath Hill. Again offenders have used cutting tools in an attempt to steal the cash machine, but were unsuccessful and nothing was stolen. Despite nothing being stolen, considerable damage was caused to the machines and the surrounding brickwork. Police believe the incidents are linked to the same offenders, but are keeping an open mind. Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses and information after two attempts to steal cash machines in Milton Keynes within a week.
