I no longer have a local butcher, but I'd still like good quality meet from local farmers. Do you know of any good mail order companies that perhaps I could try?

Yes, there are many mail order food companies available now as unfortunately it is a sad fact that many local butchers are closing. You can buy excellent quality meat from QVC. The companies to look out for on the channel are Exmoor Style and Welsh Farm Organics. They have regular shows and as with all products on the channel, have to go through Quality Assurance control, so you know you are getting a fabulous product. It's also very good value and tastes delicious! Tune in and give them a go.
